Synthetic Underlayment vs. Felt Paper?
For any and ALL of our roof installments we ALWAYS use synthetic underlayment! Why you ask? While felt paper was used in the roofing industry for years on end it was a very flawed product with minimal wind, water and tear resistance that should be priority in your roof installment! This is why we use synthetic underlayment. Synthetic underlayment is a waterproof plastic barrier that helps protect your home even through the roughest weather conditions!
Ice & Water Shield
(WinterGuard)
Ice + Water Shield is a peel and stick roof underlayment that has a self sealant barrier against nail holes, damages, etc. This barrier is an added protection option commonly used in water damage prone areas such as valleys and eaves depending on the style of home. While it increases the overall cost of the replacement there are some instances where this style underlayment can be installed on the entire roof such as our
